Five Elements
Explore the five-element model and how it can inform observation, sequencing and energetic themes.
Fascial Anatomy
Compare classical anatomical ideas with contemporary fascial lines, bio-tensegrity and whole-body connection.
Yin & Yang
Understand the qualities of Yin and Yang and how balancing them can influence practice, teaching and lifestyle.
Teaching Practice
Develop and deliver a focused 30-minute class while learning how to create a calm and supportive teaching space.

Use different practices to understand balance.
Morning asana can include the deep stretch and stillness of Yin, the steadiness of Hatha or the fluid movement of Vinyasa Flow. Experiencing these contrasting qualities makes the Yin–Yang framework practical rather than theoretical.
The course encourages you to recognise what the body and mind need on a given day rather than approaching every practice with the same intensity.

Learn to teach stillness with intention.
Yin classes use longer-held, relatively passive postures to explore connective tissues, sensation and mindfulness. Teachers learn how to guide students without rushing the process or turning stillness into a performance goal.
Attention is given to therapeutic qualities such as stress reduction, mobility and the meditative experience of staying present with changing sensation.

Explore emotional awareness and mindful release.
Workshop discussions explore the idea of the emotional body, how emotions are experienced physically and how breath, awareness and movement may support reflective release.
The approach is experiential and educational, giving students space to observe their own responses without forcing a particular outcome.

See the body as an interconnected tensile system.
Fascial study introduces whole-body connections and compares traditional anatomy with contemporary thinking about connective tissue. Topics include superficial front, back and side lines, arm lines and spiral connections.
You will consider strength, flexibility and bio-tensegrity when preparing Yin postures and sequences rather than viewing muscles in isolation.
Create space between sensation and reaction.
Meridians, elements and energetic awareness.
Study the origins and key principles of Yin Yoga, the balance of Yin and Yang, and the traditional energetic ideas of chakras, nadis and Prana.
Meridian theory and the five Chinese elements are used as frameworks for understanding energetic themes and creating thoughtful sequences.
Teach less. Observe more.
Yin teaching asks for clear setup, patient observation and enough silence for students to experience the posture themselves.
The course develops language, pacing and sequencing skills so you can create a calm class without over-cueing or forcing range.
Let stillness become part of the method.
A Yin-focused day with space for study and integration.
